The contact form asks for your name, email address and message. Your organisation is optional. We need your email to reply; without the required fields the form cannot send a message. You can contact us directly by email instead.
Hosting and security services process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and request information to deliver the website and prevent abuse. Where enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile checks the contact form for automated submissions.
Reading preferences are stored in your browser when remembering is enabled. They are not sent to WCLD as a visitor profile. The website has no advertising pixels, visitor analytics scripts or behavioural profiling added by WCLD.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
For general enquiries, our legitimate interests are to respond to people who contact us and manage our organisation’s correspondence. We also have legitimate interests in protecting the website, detecting abuse and keeping administration secure. We use the information for these purposes, not to add you to a marketing list.
If you ask us to take specific steps before entering a contract, or we need to perform a contract with you, the relevant processing may instead be necessary for those steps or that contract. If a legal obligation requires a particular record to be retained, that obligation is the basis for retaining that record.
Functional browser storage is explained separately in our cookies notice. When you turn remembering off, the website keeps only the necessary marker of that choice and does not persist new language or reading preferences.
What happens to a message
The website sends your message to the WCLD inbox using Resend. WCLD staff with a relevant role can use it to respond. Copies may be held by the email delivery service and our email provider.
The website database records that a message was sent for an internal message counter. That counter does not store the submitted name, email address, organisation or message content. This is not visitor tracking.
Please do not submit research-participant records or confidential information about other people through this general enquiry form. If your enquiry needs health or disability information, contact us first so that an appropriate channel and the relevant processing conditions can be agreed.
Service providers and international processing
Cloudflare provides website hosting, content delivery and security. Resend provides email delivery. Our organisation’s email provider also processes messages received in the inbox. These services may use infrastructure and subprocessors in more than one country.
Where processing involves transfers of personal information outside the UK, applicable UK transfer requirements must be met, such as an adequacy regulation or appropriate contractual safeguards. We do not sell enquiry information. Links to other organisations, including LinkedIn, lead to services with their own privacy notices. Browser speech tools may use an online voice service depending on your browser and operating system.

Cedwir gwybodaeth ymholiadau am gyhyd ag y bo angen i ateb yr ymholiad a gwneud gwaith dilynol. Os daw’n rhan o brosiect, contract neu gofnod sy’n ofynnol yn gyfreithiol, y diben a’r rhwymedigaethau perthnasol sy’n pennu pa mor hir y mae angen y cofnod. Dylid dileu gwybodaeth pan nad yw’r rhesymau hyn yn berthnasol mwyach.

Eich hawliau
Yn dibynnu ar y prosesu a’r amodau cyfreithiol, gallwch ofyn am fynediad at eich gwybodaeth bersonol, ei chywiro, ei dileu neu gyfyngu ar ei phrosesu. Gall trosglwyddadwyedd data fod yn berthnasol i wybodaeth a brosesir yn awtomatig ar sail cydsyniad neu gontract. Pan fydd prosesu’n dibynnu ar gydsyniad, gellir tynnu’r cydsyniad hwnnw’n ôl.
Mae gennych yr hawl i wrthwynebu prosesu sy’n seiliedig ar fuddiannau cyfreithlon. Cysylltwch â WCLD drwy’r manylion isod a dywedwch wrthym pa brosesu rydych yn ei wrthwynebu. Byddwn yn ystyried y cais ac yn esbonio os oes rheswm cyfreithlon dros barhau.
